About this site

F(E) is a web resource for learning about the foundational principles of computing systems that interact with the physical world.

The site is created and run by Phillip Stanley-Marbell, an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge.

The laboratory and light board videos are the result of a Technology Enabled Learning award (Embedded Systems TELP award, 2019) to Phillip Stanley-Marbell from the Cambridge University Press. The web interface to the Sunflower processor emulator and the interface to the Newton physics description language are the result of a Teaching and Learning Innovation Fund award (Grapples TLIF award, 2017) to Phillip Stanley-Marbell from the Cambridge Center for Teaching and Learning (CCTL).
